The series TanzXperiment ventures into its 7th expedition and takes place again on our rehearsal stage in the new part of the theatre’s main building. The rehearsal stage - "Probebühne" - offers a uniquely intimate atmosphere, allowing the audience to closely feel and see the performances of the dance company.
TanzXperiment can be anything from improvisation evenings with live music, to workshops choreographed by the dancers – these performances present themselves every time in a new and different way.
The workshop series Homegrown, which presents choreographies by the members of the dance company, shows the individual artistic visions of the dancers. It gives them a possibility to display their own work as young choreographers. The switch from purely dancing to choreographing comes with new tasks: Creating a concept and a choreography, choosing light settings, costumes, make up and music. These choreographies are performed as solos, duos or with the whole company. These evenings give an insight into the dancer’s artistic visions and maybe we will find out about the hidden talents of a new choreographer…
